Developing Act III in Contour

Keeping in mind the fact that your protagonist is now

a Martyr, and it seems that the Central Question is

more elusive than ever, letʼs develop Act III.

1 Click on the title in the Screenplay Title pane.

2 Click on the slider and move it to the ﬁrst tick in

the Act III/ Martyr section.

3 Click inside the “ Big Yes” ﬁeld and enter your

scene ideas and/or beats for your ﬁrst “Big Yes.”

4 Press tab to move to the next text box (the ﬁrst

“No” ﬁeld) and enter your scene which will serve

as the ﬁrst “No”.

6 Click on the slider and move it to the next tick in

the Act III/Martyr section.

7 Finish the last “Big No” and the ﬁnal “Big Yes”

where your Martyr becomes victorious.
